Camptocormia, or bent spine syndrome, is characterised by involuntary forward flexion of the thoracolumbar spine in the absence of a fixed spinal deformity; this typically increases in the upright position and abates in the supine position. The common causes of camptocormia include underlying neurodegenerative diseases, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders. 1 Myasthenia gravis is an uncommon, but important, cause of camptocormia.1 We report a woman with generalised myasthenia gravis who had ‘fatiguable camptocormia’ as one of her first symptoms, and review previously reported cases of camptocormia due to myasthenia.
