Letter to the editor regarding ‘Transitioning from intrathecal bupivacaine to mepivacaine for same-day discharge total joint arthroplasty: a quality improvement study’

We read with interest the study by Dr Coleman and colleagues and think that their findings are reflective of patterns found in previous comparisons between bupivacaine and mepivacaine.1 However, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight a few reservations we have.
