Journal clubs, typically involving a group of health professionals or trainees who discuss recent study findings, have long been considered a fundamental element of teaching evidence-based practice. In hospital settings, journal clubs generally focus on new publications, typically primary research studies, with the goal of keeping professionals and trainees informed about the latest developments in their field. 1–3 Additionally, novel primary studies frequently drive public discourse, and press releases and news coverage often misrepresent or exaggerate their findings.4 5
