Emergency Medical Communication Centres (EMCCs) dispatchers enable quick rescue resource deployment and provide life-saving first-aid instructions to callers. However, various barriers often hinder caller compliance with dispatcher-assisted instructions (DA-Is).1 An exploratory analysis of dispatchers’ feedback was conducted to understand why callers refuse DA-I in cardiac arrest and to identify strategies enhancing bystanders’ compliance with instructions for dispatcher-assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (DA-CPR).
