We read with great interest the article1 published in your journal, in which the authors provide a meticulous report on the most recent meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials concerning long-term outcomes after transcatheter and surgical therapies for the aortic valve. This insightful study prompted us to ask: Is the shifting of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) towards younger age still up to date?
