‘Mind the gap’ is a familiar announcement to anyone who has travelled on the trains in the UK or on the London Underground. The gap being referred to—'between the train and the platform edge’—varies between stations but sometimes is an impressive distance, and a risk for many patients with neurological disorders. This issue of Practical Neurology has a series of papers that highlight some other gaps into which neurological patients may fall.
