Cystic fibrosis over the last century

During the 100 years of Archives of Disease in Childhood (ADC), cystic fibrosis (CF) has been transformed, initially from an unrecognised condition to a disease with inevitable death in childhood. The current situation with highly effective CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulator therapies has transformed the lives of people with CF and deaths in childhood are now rare in high-income countries.
